Saved Up for Moms?

I've mentioned this previously - but Drew's hit the terrible two's in full force. He's often in Time Outs for a good portion of the morning before heading to day care for offenses like not listening, hitting, or just throwing a good ol' tantrum because he doesn't like what we picked out for him to wear.

Well I've been in Denver for work this week, and wouldn't you know it - he's been an angel for Daddy and Ms. Stephanie. Seriously? Do you save all the crabbiness and whining for me? It's like he has a 6th sense for this stuff.

I was actually really looking forward to the trip to get away from it all - and was secretly hoping Drew would give Daddy a run for his money the way he's done for me (Daddy's been busy with stuff and hasn't really been around to see the mood-swings). My evil plan apparently foiled.

So do little boys save this up for moms? Is it ingrained into their DNA? Is there a cure?

  1. Somewhere deep down in the job description for "mom" it must state in very very very fine print that a mom must be the receiver of all frustrations given out by said child. jodi

  2. Ha! Last night on the way to church and then once inside the building Chase threw on of his famous tantrums. Threw it while we dropped him off in the nursery too. We told the girl working their room to not hesitate to page us because he'd been such a peach for the last 30 minutes...

Apparently he calmed down within about 30 seconds of being dropped off. Nick and I feel so honored to be the only recipients of his tantrums! LOL!
