Art, Wind and Family

For the first time in about a decade, we didn't go camping for the long Memorial Day Weekend.  With arriving home from New York on that Wednesday before, and then trying to turn around and pack things up for a camping trip... I started breaking out in hives.

Instead we stayed home and had a great mellow weekend!  On Monday we decided to head over to our local Art and Wind Festival we've always heard great things about, but could never go since we were always camping.  It was a great time!!  The perfect ending to the weekend.

Drew climbs to the top and does his Rocky Move.

The real "Kung Fu Panda" well one that was promoting a local Kung Fu location.

So he first rode in a play helicopter... only to get to sit inside of a real one.

I thought this was a great shot of Drew watching a puppet show.  It really was a great thing to do with little kids.

The point of this "festival" is to promote wind and art, so how do you show off the wind, but with a kite.  This octopus was a 133 foot kite!  It was pretty awesome to see them get it up in the air - after multiple attempts.
