Video - Sunday School Performance

While I was away in Seattle for work Drew had to perform during church for the congregation. The Pre-K through 5th graders sang "This Little Gospel Light of Mine".  Dave was able to capture a video of the rehearsal - not the performance because he was ushering.

Here you go - (Drew is in front right wearing a green shirt and khakis).

For those who aren't seeing the video because you're reading this via email - here is the link.

Future Rock Star?

Could Drew have a future as a rock star or singer in a band? Check out this video and you decide:

A few weeks ago we were at our friends house and took advantage of their Sister-in-Law's karaoke system. The kids had a blast with it!

Back L-R: Troy, Brian, Mason, Charlise, Zionna,
Front L-R: Stephanie, Drew

Of course we kept shooing the kids out so we grown-ups could play too.

I'll spare you the actual singing (if that's what you call it) from the adults.  Lets just say there was some drinking and good times.  The guys get a kick out of seeing Steph and I sing Gloria Estefan's "1-2-3".  I guess we tend to "dance" and sing.

Karakoe Madness!

On Friday night we had an impromptu evening with Drew's Day Care Provider - Ms Stephanie and family.  We went over there to BBQ and have some libations.  Oh and some of the fun of the evening... karaoke!

Let's just get to the point.  We can't sing, but we had some of the most fun that night as we've had in a very long time!  Here are the photos  - and the evidence to prove it!

Before the music got started the kids were playing in the Spider-man Jumpy House.  Drew managed to last maybe 5 minutes before he twisted his knee and was a mess. (Drew has his back to the camera, and Troy is the face you see).

Now onto the blackmail, I mean the great fun the adults had that night...

Enough embarrassing photos, time for the embarrassing videos....

First up, Dave and Brian.  Singing a "We Are the Champions"

Then it's the ladies turn to make a fool of themselves.  "1-2-3" by Gloria Estefan.

I think that's enough embarrassment for at least a year....

Car Tunes

On Sunday we were happy to pick up our little boy who spent the weekend with Grammy and GrampC so we could enjoy a day out around the Napa/Sonoma area.  Well the car ride home was quite entertaining.  Dave first threw on some Prince and "Raspberry Beret" or as Drew calls it "Numbers".

And then a bit later in the car ride, Drew was serenading us to some Godsmack, "I Stand Alone" and "Take me Out to the Ballgame".

Sorry about the audio, it' was from my point and shoot camera...

Yes, we have a headbanger and he goes right into "ballgame". Nutty boy. His Daddy is so proud.

Sick Day

Drew came home early from day care today after puking all over Ms. Stephanie. There's no clear reason yet why she was showered in vomit, but ironically Ms. Stephanie had put some Swine Flu information into Drew's bag today. (for the record it was informative stuff that all the kids got - my kid was the only one to puke though).

So I get Drew home, while he's still sleeping. But the moment we walk through the door - it's like there were alarm bells only he could hear. He was now wide awake. Despite my continued efforts to get the kid back to sleep - so Mommy could work - Drew refused.

Instead he put on quite a show that we'll spread over a few days. Here he shows off his singing skills - Old McDonald:

Tonight I took Drew's temperature right before his bath - and it was up to 100. We'll keep an eye on it. Oh, and I managed to get that temp about 2 minutes before he peed all over me. NICE!
