Who Is That Kid in the Picture?

So in a strange twist of fate, we found a new family member that Drew resembles.

A couple of weeks ago my parents were sifting through some old photos trying to "name that family" member who looks like my niece.  She found a picture of my Mom with her brother and some cousins and determined my niece Kady has some attributes of my Mom's cousin.

Then they looked at the other kids in the picture......

Does anyone in that picture look familiar?



When Drew was shown that picture and asked who it was, he matter-of-factly said "It's me".  I suppose it was more in the tone, "Duh.... it's me".


The kid in the center is my Uncle Mike - or more commonly referred to in our family as "Otto" (but said like "OOOOTTTTOOO").  The little girl to his right would be my Mom.

This picture was from a few months ago when Drew was going to Grammy's for the weekend/night.

When Drew was a baby - maybe from around 9 months until just before his 2nd birthday he looked a lot like my brother did as a baby - although everyone agrees that Drew has his Tata's eyes and always has.

But no one put two and two together until this photo that he resembled Uncle Mike/Otto.  Not even GG - Uncle Mike's Mom.

So the question is what Drew will look like this when he grows up?

That picture was from our Trip to Minnesota just after Drew's 2nd Birthday - or 2 years ago for those bad with math.

First School Photos

I've had these for more than a month, but I needed to be sure we were past the holiday craziness and well that those that received them as gifts got them first.

In November, Drew took his first school pictures.  And after a few family photo shoots - first with my family for my Mom's birthday, then with the cousins in November - we were batting .000.  No solo shots for Drew, either he wasn't cooperating or the photographer "lost" the photos in the span of taking them and downloading them.

Needless to say when we had our "viewing day" it was all I could do NOT to buy everything they had:

Doesn't he look like a good boy?!  Well I didn't buy everything under the sun, because HOLY CRAP school pictures are expensive.  But I was willing to pay what I did, because without them we'd have no professional 3 Year pictures of Drew.

A little back story - to my dismay Drew had an accident at school that day - which I noticed when I picked him up and he was in different pants.  I was panicked that it happened before pictures.  I was relieved to see that it was after.

Another Late Night

Oh man the past week has been a bear!  Since coming back from camping I've been battling a sinus issue - not quite an infection, but a pain in my rear none the less.  So I had only 3 hours of sleep on Wednesday night.  That lead into a long tough day at work, only to rush home to get Drew and head to Concord to meet my parents and siblings and their families for a chaotic evening.

Imagine 11 people in one room trying to snap professional photos!  Whew!  Here's a preview of what we captured....

Mr Cheese-face (as seen in this blog header) was Mr. No-Smile tonight.  He refused to smile!  We've never seen that happen... so that lead to a lot of tickles from us to try and get him to cooperate. 

All the fun and chaos... was for Grammy's birthday present.  For years she's wanted an updated family photo - the last one was circa 1991.  So nearly 20 years!  I'd say we've changed a bit.....

OK time to get back to the cupcake baking.  Drew needs to bring something to school tomorrow to celebrate his birthday.... *yawn*.  Needless to say it was another late night.
